Meth, more commonly known as P, crystal meth and crack, is an ulcer that causes plenty of problems throughout New Zealand. Apart from the adversity it causes to meth users, it has also posed a sizeable problem for homes and businesses used as P labs. CleaningPro provides meth testing services to a wide variety of clients including:
We have two types of meth testing services:
The standard test will determine the answer to a basic question, i.e is there meth present or not?
What amount of meth is tolerable for an individual when it comes to use and purchase? The answer is none and for this purpose, the standard test comes into play. This standard service satisfies the basic query regarding the very presence of meth in a property. To know its exact location, you may need to spend more money (known as ‘comprehensive meth testing’).
This method of sampling reduces the probability that meth residues are left behind, owing to samples not being taken from the correct room. Therefore, when our test results come back negative, you can be quite certain that no meth is present in the house.
When the lab examines a sample, they provide us with an estimate of how much meth is present. This will give you some insight into whether it’s just occasional or if that person has been using for awhile now. It can also make a tremendous difference when it comes to the cost of addressing the problem. Once you have the standard result, you can either continue examining or move on.
To confirm meth presence in a property, sampling every room reduces the risk of not detecting meth in the property. This standard test is not used to confirm the effectiveness of cleaning in a property. If you have undertaken any cleaning or painting of this property recently, please call our booking team on 0800 405 670 to discuss further.
This test will give details of which room or area meth is present.
A sensitive test for meth is the comprehensive one, which involves sampling individual areas of your house and determining their exact location. This can be pricey though so a cheaper alternative would be to take a standard reading first.
The comprehensive test is an appropriate way to allow people to understand where meth residues are located in their house in a cost-effective manner. It is a more technically sound alternative to the approach of using in-field test kits. Just like the standard test, the recommended approach is to sample all areas in a property. The lesser the areas sampled the greater the chance of missing out on problematic meth residues.
When should a comprehensive service be used? Where a standard meth test has identified low levels of meth residues (<2µg of meth) and in the absence of complicated factors such as redecoration and an infield test from another service provider has recorded positive and risk factors are determined to be low.
Our pricing is very simple and is based on the size of the property.
